At Regaleali, it is cultivated at altitudes up to 900 meters above sea level and, as a late-ripening variety, is the last to be harvested – even among the reds. From it comes a wine of outstanding quality, without the rather coarse structure typical of coastal regions. An elegant, refined wine with a bouquet of pink grapefruit and green tea, whose aromas are supported on the palate by a refreshing acidity. On the palate, it is persistent and flavorful, while exhibiting remarkable staying power in the finish. Anyone with even a shred of common sense (Buonsenso) would cultivate the Catarratto variety in our region. And that's how the name Buonsenso came about, because it is good (buono) and pleases the senses (sensi). James Suckling: 91 points for the 2021 vintage
