Prisecco Red (Meadow Fruit / Blackcurrant / Sour Cherry)
PriSecco Red is not a wine in the classic sense – and that's its greatest strength. The Jörg Geiger manufactory from Schlat in Swabia specializes in processing old fruit varieties and brings out from traditional orchards what many have long forgotten: depth, acidity, and character from fruits that don't need grapes.
In the glass, it displays a dark, ruby-red color. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry, blackcurrant, and elderberry – dense but not heavy. A fresh hint of lime brightens the fruit. This continues on the palate: dark berry fruit, lively, invigorating acidity, and a slight tartness of quince that adds structure. The fine carbonation makes it light and easy to drink.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C – as an aperitif, with a snack of strong cheese, or with a red fruit dessert. Also a convincing non-alcoholic alternative to red wine with a meal.
