Pouilly-Fuissé “Tête de Cuvée”

Château Fuissé's Tête de Cuvée is not a single-vineyard wine — it is the opposite: an assemblage of over 40 parcels from the estate's best sites, designed to showcase what Pouilly-Fuissé can do as an appellation.

Château Fuissé has been one of the most influential names in southern Burgundy for generations. Antoine Vincent helped shape the appellation; today, the family continues to run the estate, vinifying exclusively Chardonnay from limestone and clay soils around the villages of Pouilly and Fuissé in the Mâconnais region. The Tête de Cuvée matures on its lees in oak barrels—hence its creamy texture and subtle smoky notes.

In the glass: Grapefruit, white peach, and green apple on the nose, underpinned by vanilla and a hint of coconut from the barrel aging. On the palate, medium-bodied, lively yet integrated acidity, long, spicy finish with a touch of salinity.
