Bourgogne Blanc Château Fuissé

The Bourgogne Blanc from Château Fuissé is an uncomplicated introduction to a winery that has been among the most reliable names in the Mâconnais since 1862. No small promise for a regional white wine.

Château Fuissé is located in the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé and has been family-owned for five generations. While the estate's flagship wine—the Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cru—receives international acclaim, the Bourgogne Blanc showcases the power of traditional craftsmanship at the grassroots level: meticulous hand-harvesting, controlled fermentation, and brief aging in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.

In the glass, a pale straw yellow. The nose offers green apple, lemon zest, and a hint of white blossom. On the palate, a clear, lively acidity—typical of Chardonnay from cooler Burgundy—is evident, with a light, creamy finish. Not heavy, but precise and clean.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Drink now, drinking window until 2027. Pairs well with goat cheese, fried seafood or a classic chicken roast — also a good choice as a simple aperitif.
