Perlé Nero Riserva Trentodoc

A Blanc de Noirs from Trentino with substance: The Perlé Nero Riserva from Ferrari is made exclusively from Pinot Nero and, as a Riserva, is aged on the lees for a long time. You can taste this in the creaminess and the long finish.

Giulio Ferrari founded the house in 1902 in Trento; today, the Lunelli family continues to run it. Ferrari is considered a benchmark for Italian Metodo Classico: the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, just like in Champagne, and the origin bears the designation Trentodoc. The Pinot Nero grapes come from the high altitudes of Trentino.

In the glass, it shows a fine, creamy perlage. With a Blanc de Noirs from Pinot Nero, you expect ripe red fruits like raspberry and strawberry, plus brioche and fine roasted notes from the yeast storage. On the palate, it appears supple and powerful at the same time; the acidity provides drive, and the finish lingers long.

Serve it at 8–10 °C in a wide white wine glass so that the aromas can unfold. It pairs well with saffron risotto, fried char, vitello tonnato, or aged Parmigiano Reggiano. It also makes a great impression on its own on a special evening.
