Lugana Ottella DOC Veneto

The Lugana Ottella DOC comes from the southeastern shore of Lake Garda – an area that is no longer a secret among wine lovers, but still manages to surprise time and again. Ottella is one of the most reliable producers in this appellation, with deep roots in the region and a clear focus on the local Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety.

In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is invitingly fresh: ripe pear and citrus peel mingle with floral notes and a characteristic, slightly mineral depth, which is a result of the soils around Lake Garda. On the palate, the wine is lively, with a firm, pleasantly invigorating acidity and a long, clean finish.

Especially recommended for:

  • Grilled or fried fish – sea bass, pike-perch or trout from Lake Garda – are a classic choice.
  • Seafood and light pasta dishes with clams or shrimp
  • Mild goat cheese and antipasti made from raw vegetables
  • Simply as an aperitif on a balmy evening

Drink it young and well chilled, between 10 and 12 degrees – then it gives its all.
