Molceo Lugana Riserva DOC Veneto

The Molceo is the sophisticated side of Lugana: a dry white wine from Turbiana, which is also called Trebbiano di Lugana, with depth and structure instead of mere freshness.

Cantina Ottella cultivates small private plots around San Benedetto di Lugana, Sirmione, Pozzolengo, and Desenzano del Garda on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The grapes are selected by hand, harvested late, and processed gently. The maturation lasts 18 months on the fine lees, predominantly in stainless steel tanks, supplemented by cask and barrique.

In the glass, the wine glows intensely golden yellow. In the nose, citrus fruit and white flowers meet flint and subtle hydrocarbon notes. On the palate, it appears full, structured, and complex, carried by precise acidity. The finish is long and mineral-driven.

Recommendation: Serve it at 10–12 °C with grilled fish, risotto with lake trout, or aged hard cheese.

The Cantina

Cantina Ottella

The Ottella winery has been managed by the Montresor family for four generations and is located on a small headland on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The vineyards extend over 90 hectares between Veneto and Lombardy.

The modern, award-winning winery building impresses with contemporary architecture, art installations, and a harmonious connection between wine, culture, and nature.

Ottella is best known for its Lugana wines from the local Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) grape variety, as well as for Valpolicella and Amarone. Visitors are welcome by prior reservation and can taste the wines in the in-house shop.
