Le Creete Lugana DOC Veneto 1.5L

The Le Creete from Cantina Ottella is a Lugana with fullness and structure, bottled in a 1.5-liter magnum, which is perfect for dinner parties and evenings together.

The grapes come from the single vineyard Le Creete in San Benedetto di Lugana on the southern shore of Lake Garda. Here, the vines grow on limestone and clay soils, which give the wine its mineral character. The grape variety is Trebbiano, known locally as Turbiana and the basis of every Lugana.

In the glass, the wine glows in an intense golden yellow. On the nose, pineapple and grapefruit appear, along with floral notes. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and balanced, with mineral depth that gives the wine hold and a lingering finish.

As a companion, it pairs well with risotto with freshwater fish, grilled trout or char, asparagus with parmesan, and seafood. It also goes well with chicken in lemon butter or young Pecorino. Serve it at 8 to 10 °C.

The Cantina

Cantina Ottella

The Ottella winery has been managed by the Montresor family for four generations and is located on a small headland on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The vineyards extend over 90 hectares between Veneto and Lombardy.

The modern, award-winning winery building impresses with contemporary architecture, art installations, and a harmonious connection between wine, culture, and nature.

Ottella is best known for its Lugana wines from the local Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) grape variety, as well as for Valpolicella and Amarone. Visitors are welcome by prior reservation and can taste the wines in the in-house shop.
