Los Vascos Chagual Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine demonstrates impressively what extraordinary importance the location of the Los Vascos winery has. Due to its position in the cool part of the Valle de Colchagua, it experiences a noticeable influence from the Pacific, which enables the production of juicy, fresh wines. The Chagual unfolds aromas of strawberries, blueberries, and blackcurrants, accompanied by an intensely spicy accent. The fruitiness of this wine harmonizes perfectly with the invigorating freshness of its acidity.

The first organic wines from Los Vascos are named after the Chagual, an endemic plant species from the coastal region of Chile. The vineyards and the surrounding community around Perallilo are closely linked, similar to the Chagual and its butterfly, which depend on each other to survive. This idea of interrelationships between species, first discovered by Alexander von Humboldt, is at the heart of the Los Vascos winery philosophy: everything is carefully thought out to minimize the impact on the ecosystem, preserve its balance, and sustain life itself.
