Los Vascos Cromas Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva

Los Vascos Cromas Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva
A Cabernet Sauvignon from the Colchagua Valley that shows what the cool foothills of the Santa Lucia coastal range can extract from this grape variety: dense fruit, clear structure, long finish.
Los Vascos has been part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1988 and manages around 1,000 hectares in the Colchagua Valley. The Cromas line stands for hand-picked grapes from the estate's best parcels, harvested late with gentle sunlight at the foot of the Santa Lucia hills.
The wine glows deep ruby red in the glass. The nose opens with red fruits – blackberry, ripe plum – and a floral background. After twelve months of aging in barriques (half new wood) and subsequent bottle aging, tobacco, bay leaf, and a hint of graphite join in. On the palate, medium to full body, well-integrated tannins, spicy finish with lingering length.
- Food: Beef fillet, braised lamb shank, aged Manchego
- Temperature: 16–18 °C

Los Vascos brings Chilean wines with French flair and pure Andean power to the glass. This winery from the Colchagua Valley combines barrel-aged elegance with the wild freshness of the Chilean landscape – sun, wind, and cool nights create wines with soul.
The focus is on Carmenère , which here appears juicy, spicy, and full of dark berry notes. The red wines display velvety tannins, fresh acidity, and a hint of spice – typical of Los Vascos' balanced style, which is immediately inviting.
Here you'll find wines that combine South American temperament with European refinement. Perfect for anyone who enjoys robust, characterful red wines that are simply fun to drink.
