Kesselring Sauvignon Blanc

Kesselring Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate works — if someone understands how to make the grape variety speak on German soils. Lukas Kesselring is one of the winemakers who can do that.
His winery in the Palatinate region works with the aim of vinifying international grape varieties without imitating their style: no Loire imitation, no New Zealand blend, but a wine with its own unique character. The Sauvignon Blanc is a prime example of this approach.
On the nose, elderflower and gooseberry, with a hint of green herbs—fresh, but not overpowering. On the palate, a lively acidity carries the wine without being sharp. The finish is clean and mineral, with good length for its category.
Serve at 10–12 °C . Goes well with:
- grilled asparagus with herb vinaigrette
- Goat cheese (fresh or semi-ripened)
- Dishes with coriander, parsley or tarragon
- light fish such as trout or sea bass
Drinking window: now until 2026 — a wine for the moment, not for the cellar.
Lukas Kesselring stands for wines that don't hide their origin – but celebrate it. The young winemaker from Germany works close to the vineyard, listens to what nature tells him, and brings to the glass what many are looking for: honesty with depth.
His wines are not a loud statement, but a quiet promise. Precise, vibrant, and with a clarity that you immediately sense – with the first sip as with the last.
