Kesselring Riesling

Lukas Kesselring is one of those winemakers to watch—young, precise, with a clear style. His Riesling demonstrates what the Palatinate region can achieve on sandstone and variegated sandstone soils: no heaviness, no sweetness, but instead, tension in the glass.

The winery operates in the Palatinate, one of Germany's most diverse wine regions. Bunter sandstone and sandstone soils give the Riesling a mineral structure that distinguishes it from heavier, fruit-forward Palatinate wines—more coastal than southern.

In the glass, it opens with aromas of white peach and citrus zest, accompanied by a fresh herbal note in the background. The acidity is lively but smooth—it supports the wine without overpowering it. The finish is clean and mineral, with a medium length.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C . Best enjoyed now until 2027. Pairs well with:

  • Asparagus with hollandaise sauce
  • Fried pike-perch or trout
  • Mild goat cheese or young Comté
