Kesselring Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate works — if someone understands how to make the grape variety speak on German soils. Lukas Kesselring is one of the winemakers who can do just that.

His winery in the Palatinate works with the goal of vinifying international varieties without copying their style: no Loire imitation, no New Zealand blend, but a wine with its own character. The Sauvignon Blanc is exemplary of this approach.

On the nose, elderflower and gooseberry, plus a hint of green herbs — fresh, but not intrusive. On the palate, a lively acidity carries the wine without being sharp. The finish is clean and mineral, with good length for this category.

Serve at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with:

  • grilled asparagus with herb vinaigrette
  • goat cheese (fresh or semi-matured)
  • dishes with coriander, parsley, or tarragon
  • light fish such as trout or sea bass

Weingut Lukas Kesselring

Lukas Kesselring stands for wines that don't hide their origin – but celebrate it. The young winemaker from Germany works close to the vineyard, listens to what nature tells him, and brings to the glass what many are looking for: honesty with depth.

His wines are not a loud statement, but a quiet promise. Precise, vibrant, and with a clarity that you immediately sense – with the first sip as with the last.
