Karthäuserhof BRUT

Karthäuserhof BRUT
A Sekt from the Ruwer Valley that shows what Riesling can achieve as a sparkling wine: precise citrus fruit, lively acidity, and a fine yeast structure after 36 months of bottle aging.
The Karthäuserhof is located in Eitelsbach, a side valley of the Ruwer — one of the coolest and most mineral-rich corners of the Mosel region. The winery looks back on a history that dates back to the 14th century; today it stands for clearly structured Rieslings with slate minerality. This Brut transfers the same signature to the sparkling wine.
In the glass, it shows lemon zest, a hint of white peach, and the typical slate minerality of the Ruwer vineyards. The perlage is fine, the finish dry and long with a salty-spicy note. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C.
Just as convincing as an aperitif as it is with oysters, ceviche, or a light goat cheese. Anyone looking for German Sekt with a real sense of terroir will find it here.
