Haus Klosterberg Cuvee Brut

Markus Molitor is primarily known for his precise Mosel Rieslings — but the Cuvée Brut from Haus Klosterberg shows that the winery also brings artisanal care to sparkling wine. Behind the label is one of the most renowned houses of the Middle Mosel: Molitor manages around 100 hectares, including many steep slopes on blue and red slate, and has been consistently working at a high quality level for years.

In the glass, the cuvée presents itself with a fine, persistent perlage. The nose shows aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and a subtle note of yeast pastry, which points to proper bottle fermentation. On the palate, the wine feels taut and fresh, with a clear acidity line that is typical for the Mosel — the finish remains dry and mineral.

It is best served well-chilled at 7–9 °C as an aperitif or with light appetizers: salmon tartare, tarte flambée with crème fraîche, or aged goat cheese. It also cuts a fine figure as an accompaniment to a relaxed evening on the terrace.
