Grappa Vuisinâr Riserva 41% vol aged in wild cherry wood barrels 0.7L

The Grappa Vuisinâr Riserva from Nonino is a pomace brandy from Friuli that matures in wild cherry wood casks. At 41% vol., it stands for a round, calm style rather than sharp edges.

Nonino Distillatori distills selected pomace using artisanal, discontinuous steam distillation in copper stills. Each batch is distilled individually, which ensures a clear, precise distillate. The subsequent maturation in small wild cherry casks gives the brandy its warm, amber hue and additional aromatic depth.

On the nose, fine spice and delicate roasted aromas appear. On the palate, the grappa is round and closed, and the structure carries long into the finish. The wood aging rounds off the pomace distillate without diluting the clarity.

Serve it neat at 16 to 18 °C in a tulip glass so that the aromas can collect. It is suitable as a classic after-dinner conclusion, with an espresso or a piece of dark chocolate.

The Distillery

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
