Grappa Riserva from Nonino: a barrique-aged pomace brandy from Friuli, three years in wood and bottled at 41% vol. It combines the clear pomace aromatics of a classic grappa with the warmth of wood aging.

Nonino Distillatori stands for Friulian distilling art in family tradition. The pomace from the region's vineyards is distilled discontinuously in copper stills. This process preserves the aromas of the starting material cleanly. Aging in barrique gives the distillate its warm amber color.

In the glass, you will find notes of wood, fruit, and spice, embedded in the depth that only cask aging brings. The wood rounds off the character of the pomace without masking it.

Recommendation: Serve it in a tulip-shaped glass at room temperature and drink it neat, as a digestif after a festive meal, or for a convivial evening. A sip is also worth it with dark chocolate.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
