Grappa Riserva 8 years 43%vol individually in gift packaging 0.7L

The Nonino Grappa Riserva 8 Years is an aged pomace brandy from Friuli that comes into the bottle at 43% vol. It appears warm and round and belongs to the grappas that one drinks more like a brandy than like a clear pomace brandy.

Nonino Distillatori stands for the grappa tradition in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Distillation takes place discontinuously in copper stills. Afterward, the grappa matures according to the manufacturer for more than eight years in small wooden barrels. Hence the amber color and the depth that a young grappa does not reach.

On the nose, vanilla, dried fruits, and honey appear, along with subtle spice notes and fine wood spice. On the palate, it is velvety, with balanced sweetness and a clear structure. The finish is long, and fruit and wood are in balance.

It is best to serve it neat at room temperature in a tulip-shaped glass, as a digestif after a festive meal. The gift packaging makes it a suitable choice for people who appreciate aged distillates.

The Distillery

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
