Gesellmann ZB - Zweigelt Blaufränkisch

Gesellmann ZB - Zweigelt Blaufränkisch
A Burgenland red wine that combines two of Austria's most important grape varieties: Zweigelt brings approachability and red fruitiness, Blaufränkisch the typical spice and excitement.
The Gesellmann winery in Deutschkreutz is located in Mittelburgenland—a region that has nurtured Blaufränkisch and whose gravel, clay, and limestone soils give the red wines a distinctive mineral character. Gesellmann is one of the region's most reliable wineries, known for its meticulous winemaking and the profound depth typical of the resort.
The ZB matures for 11 months in large wooden casks —not an aging process that masks the fruit, but one that integrates it. In the glass, it reveals dark cherry and blackberry, along with aromas of violets, mild pepper, and a hint of smoke. The mid-palate is juicy, the tannins firm but not harsh, and the finish has a pleasant spiciness typical of Blaufränkisch.
