Privy Councillor J Riesling Sparkling Wine Brut

Riesling sparkling wine from the traditional Wegeler winery – known for its steep-slope Rieslings on the Moselle and Rhine. The Geheimrat J Riesling Sekt Brut is aimed at all those who refuse to compromise on the varietal character of their sparkling wine.

In the glass, a clear gold with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose reveals ripe yellow fruit, creamy yeast notes, and floral hints. On the palate, mineral undertones, lively acidity, and a slightly tart, long finish – typical Riesling, even in Brut.

Pairs well with aperitifs, crayfish, smoked salmon, or a herby goat cheese. Serving temperature: 7–9 °C. Falstaff awarded the 2015 vintage 92 points and listed it among the top 5 German Riesling sparkling wines.
