The Winkel Jesuitengarten Riesling Grosses Gewächs displays a bouquet rich in yellow stone fruit, citrus, a touch of piquant spice, and also licorice. On the palate, mineral notes and a hint of tannins emerge. The finish is exceptionally long and aromatic, with peppery notes. The Winkel Jesuitengarten Riesling Grosses Gewächs is an elegant example of its kind, thanks in part to its location. Due to its proximity to the Rhine and its tendency to warm up easily in the sun, the vineyard is one of the warmest in the Rheingau. The name "Jesuitengarten" was first mentioned in 1606 by the Archbishop of Mainz. Falstaff 2020: 95 points for the 2018 vintage; James Suckling 2019: 93 points for the 2018 vintage; Gault Millau 2020: 93 points for the 2018 vintage
