Weissburgunder Buntstück

Weissburgunder Buntstück
A Pinot Blanc that takes the lightness of the Palatinate seriously: fresh, structured, with a real drinkability.
Dr. Wehrheim is one of the most reliable wineries in the southern Palatinate region, around Birkweiler. The winery has been working with varietals for decades and, in its estate vineyards such as the Buntstück, emphasizes clear fruit without any artificiality.
In the glass, the Pinot Blanc displays aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, and a hint of white peach. The acidity is present but integrated—not sharp, but lively freshness with a mild, mineral finish that suggests sandy loess soil.
- Dishes: Asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried pike-perch, creamy pasta with herbs or young goat's cheese
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Drinking window: now until 2027
An uncomplicated everyday wine with character — good for the table during the week, but with enough substance for a summer evening with guests.
