Dr. Koehler's non-prescription wine appears so light in the glass that it is almost white.
Its bouquet is reminiscent of a freshly mown meadow, wildflowers, and also hints of herbal aromas.
On the palate it is light and fresh, almost without body and with a delicate sweetness.
Dr. Koehler Over-the-Counter is produced in steel tanks.
Available without a prescription is a dealcoholized, lightly sparkling wine (Secco) from which the alcohol is removed using a special vacuum process at 27°C. This low-temperature removal process preserves the aromas and thus comes closest to the aroma of wine – without alcohol.
Dr. Köhler makes wines that reflect his own personality: down-to-earth, direct, and full of joie de vivre. This Rheinhessen winery stands for wines that don't pretend – wines that always show their origin and what they are.
The range follows a clear logic: bronze for the estate wines, silver for the village wines, gold for the single-vineyard wines – and a little color for the concept wines, which are simply meant to be fun. This way you always know what to expect.
