Dalwhinnie 15 Years Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

The Dalwhinnie 15 Years is a classic Highland Single Malt from one of Scotland's highest and coldest distilleries – at 326 meters above sea level in the Cairngorms National Park.

The Dalwhinnie Distillery has been working with the soft water of the Allt an t-Sluic spring since 1898 and relies on exceptionally long maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The harsh climate slows down the maturation process and shapes the distillery's distinctive style.

In the glass, the 15-year-old reveals aromas of heather honey, ripe pears, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is soft and medium-bodied, with light malt, gentle peat in the background, and a long, warm finish with caramel and dry heather.

Neat at room temperature, it unfolds its full depth – a drop of still water further enhances the sweeter notes. A harmonious accompaniment to desserts like crème brûlée or a mature cheddar, and also simply a relaxing dram in the evening after a long day.

Dalwhinnie Distillery

Highland whisky with a history. No other distillery is permitted to use the water from Lochan an Doire Uaine: pure snowmelt and rainwater high in the Drumochter Hills. This gives this Scotch its unique balance – malty sweet, clean, with a soft, smoky warmth. Chilled, it unfolds a full honey sweetness. Founded in 1897 as Strathspey, the distillery soon became known as Dalwhinnie – "Plain of Meetings" in Gaelic, at the crossroads of old roads between two mountain ranges. A beautiful but also harsh location: a fire in 1934, four years of closure, rebuilding amidst bitterly cold winters and snowdrifts up to 30 meters high. Dalwhinnie – pure Highland character.
