Dalberger Ritterhölle Riesling dry 1st Growth VDP - QW Nahe 0.75L

A Riesling that bears the signature of its site: the Dalberger Ritterhölle is one of the most famous single vineyards of the Nahe — green slate soil that gives the wine a cool minerality and precise acidity structure.

The Prinz Salm winery farms this VDP.Erste Lage with the ambition of bringing the character of the soil into the bottle. The classification as Erste Lage stands for controlled yields and hand-picking, which puts the expression of the site in the foreground.

In the glass, it shows a dry Riesling with the typical aromatics of green slate: citrus peel, white peach, and a fine flint spark in the background. The acidity is lively but integrated — not a sharp cut, but a long-lasting, salty line into the finish.

Best served between 10 and 12 °C. Pairs well with fried zander with caper butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a young goat cheese.
