Crozes-Hermitage Domaine des Grands Chemins AC 0.75L
This Crozes-Hermitage from the house of Delas comes from their own plots on the "Les Chassis" terraces along the Rhône — one of the most renowned vineyards of the northern Rhône, where Syrah develops its typical depth on granitic and alluvial soils.
Delas Frères is one of the most traditional Négociant houses of the Rhône, with roots in the 19th century and a clear focus on the appellations of the north — from Saint-Joseph to Hermitage. The Domaine des Grands Chemins stands for the winery's own plot ownership, which allows for direct control over the vineyard and vinification.
In the glass, the Syrah shows a deep, garnet-red color. On the nose, dark cherry and blackberry combine with characteristic notes of black pepper and a hint of olive paste — the typical aroma profile of a northern Rhône Syrah. The palate is medium-weight with present but ripe tannins and a fresh acidity structure that gives the wine length and tension.
Pairs well with leg of lamb with herbs of Provence, grilled duck breast, or a hearty cheese like Tomme de Savoie. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.

Maison Delas Frères – the soul of the Rhône Valley. A traditional house since 1835, but 1996 brought a turning point. Fabrice Rosset and oenologist Jacques Grange took over – and transformed Delas into one of the "Big Four" of the Rhône. Grange, with his Burgundian experience, focuses on elegance rather than sheer power. Vinification by individual parcel, an uncompromising focus on terroir. 32 hectares of their own top vineyards: Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage. The result: wines with freshness, depth, and character. In 2019, Delas moved into its new cellar in Tain-l'Hermitage – after almost 190 years, finally seeing the light where it belongs. The Rhône as it should taste.
