Crozes-Hermitage Cru Le Clos AC 0.75L
The Crozes-Hermitage Cru Le Clos from Delas is a parcel selection that the house only bottles in particularly successful vintages — a clear signal of the ambition behind this bottle. The grapes grow in an enclosed "Clos" on the Les Chassis plain on the left bank of the Rhône, one of the quieter, more clay-rich sites in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation area.
Deep ruby red in the glass with garnet reflections. On the palate, the Syrah shows the combination of dark fruit and spicy depth typical of northern Rhône sites: black olive, blackberry, a hint of violet, and the characteristic peppery tone that distinguishes ripe Syrah from this side of the river. The tannins are present but well-integrated, and the acidity keeps the wine fresh and straightforward.
It is best served at 16–18 °C with braised lamb, entrecôte with herb butter, or an aged cheese like Comté. If you like, open the bottle an hour before eating — the wine opens up significantly with air.

Maison Delas Frères – the soul of the Rhône Valley. A traditional house since 1835, but 1996 brought a turning point. Fabrice Rosset and oenologist Jacques Grange took over – and transformed Delas into one of the "Big Four" of the Rhône. Grange, with his Burgundian experience, focuses on elegance rather than sheer power. Vinification by individual parcel, an uncompromising focus on terroir. 32 hectares of their own top vineyards: Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage. The result: wines with freshness, depth, and character. In 2019, Delas moved into its new cellar in Tain-l'Hermitage – after almost 190 years, finally seeing the light where it belongs. The Rhône as it should taste.
