Coppola Diamond Collection Zinfandel

Coppola Diamond Collection Zinfandel
A Zinfandel that embodies the versatility of California in one bottle: fruity and robust with a spicy backbone.
Francis Ford Coppola didn't just establish his vineyards in Northern California as a hobby project—today, the winery in Geyserville, Sonoma County, is one of the state's most renowned. The Diamond Collection stands for approachable, easy-drinking wines with a distinct regional character. The grapes for this Zinfandel come from three different locations: Amador County in the Sierra Foothills, as well as cooler zones in Paso Robles and Sonoma County. This diversity of origin gives the wine structure and depth.
In the glass, ripe blackberry and black cherry emerge, underpinned by cassis and a hint of strawberry jam. The 10% Petite Sirah adds darker fruit and firms the tannin structure. Barrel aging provides a fitting vanilla note in the background—integrated, not overpowering. The finish is warm and long.
Serving suggestion: Serve at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with pulled pork, spare ribs with a smoky marinade, chorizo, or strong mountain cheese. Drinking window: now until 2027.
