Cielo Gran Maestro Primitivo di Manduria

Cielo Gran Maestro Primitivo di Manduria
The Gran Maestro Primitivo di Manduria comes from the southern Apulian DOC zone Manduria — the heartland for Primitivo, where the red soil and intense sunlight bring the grapes to exceptional ripeness.
Cielo e Terra uses hand-picked, overripe grapes that are gently pressed and fermented under controlled conditions. This aging process gives the wine its characteristic depth: the nose reveals dark blackberry and plum, along with cocoa powder, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco.
On the palate it is full-bodied and round — the tannins are soft and well integrated, the fruit is present without being too sweet, coffee and spice notes linger in the long finish.
- Dishes: Leg of lamb with rosemary, grilled beef brisket, mature pecorino cheese
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Occasion: Hearty winter cuisine or as an accompaniment to a cheese board in the evening

Cielo e Terra has two origins in Veneto: the Cielo family and the winemakers of Cantine Colli Berici. The story of Cielo e Terra began in 1908 when the Cielo family purchased land in Vicenza, near the Castelli di Romeo e Giulietta, which also included a small vineyard, Casa Defrà. In 1960, the winery was established in its current form as a cooperative, and a distribution network was set up throughout Italy. Today, Cielo e Terra exports to over 60 countries, comprises more than 1,000 winemakers with 3,700 hectares of vineyards, and is a leader in sustainability.
