Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Bouteille

100% Chardonnay from the Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs – Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The Comtes de Champagne is the prestige cuvée of the Taittinger house and matures on the lees for at least seven years before being disgorged.

In the glass, pale golden with fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, toast and roasted almond, plus candied lemon peel, tarte au citron, and a hint of lime blossom. On the palate, dense texture, lively acidity, aromas of ripe grapefruit and brioche – long, mineral finish.

Drinking temperature 8–10 °C. Pairs with scallops with butter sauce, lobster, fine sushi, or mature Brie de Meaux.

The Domaine

Taittinger

Champagne Taittinger from Reims is one of the great names in Champagne – a house that has existed since 1734 and received its current name in 1932, when Pierre Taittinger combined his vision with the third-oldest champagne house in history.

What distinguishes Taittinger to this day is its consistent signature: Chardonnay is at the heart of every blend, giving the wines their characteristic freshness and finesse.

With 288 hectares of estate-owned vineyards in the best locations of Champagne – including Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs – and UNESCO-listed chalk cellars from the 4th century, the champagne that matures here is far more than just a drink: it is the expression of a family business that has preserved its values over generations.
