Bollinger La Cote Aux Enfants Coteaux Champenois

La Côte aux Enfants is Bollinger's rare still wine — not a Champagne, but a Coteaux Champenois from the single vineyard of the same name in Aÿ, a Grand Cru village in Champagne. 100% Pinot Noir, aged in oak barrels.

The 2019 vintage was warm and dry — the result: concentrated fruit with a clear structure. In the glass, red cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate, underscored by undergrowth and clove. Silky tannins, lively acidity, long spicy finish.

Drinking temperature: 16–17 °C. Pairs with duck breast, game poultry, or aged Époisses.

Champagne Bollinger

Bollinger is not a champagne that explains itself – it reveals itself. Since 1829, the house in Aÿ has operated according to the same principles: meticulous craftsmanship, Pinot Noir at its core, and maturity as a mark of quality.

What sets Bollinger apart from many others: The wines are vinified in genuine oak barrels – a process that hardly anyone else undertakes anymore. Riddling and disgorging are done by hand. No shortcuts, no simplifications.

Whether the approachable Special Cuvée or the legendary Vieilles Vignes Françaises from pre-phylloxera vines – there is real attitude in every glass.
