Bollinger B16 in gift packaging
Bollinger B16 is a vintage Champagne from the 2016 harvest—a vintage that, after difficult spring frosts, yielded concentrated, ripe grapes. Bollinger traditionally vinifies its vintage cuvées in wooden barrels and allows them to age on the lees for significantly longer than legally required.
In the glass, the B16 displays a golden color with fine bubbles. Aromas of citrus peel, white peach, and a hint of brioche are supported by the characteristic Bollinger structure: firm, with good acidity and a long finish. The gift packaging makes it a ready-made present—without any extra effort.
Serving suggestion: 8–10 °C, with lobster, scallops, or as an aperitif for a festive occasion. Best enjoyed by 2030.
Bollinger is not a champagne that explains itself – it reveals itself. Since 1829, the house in Aÿ has operated according to the same principles: meticulous craftsmanship, Pinot Noir at its core, and maturity as a mark of quality.
What sets Bollinger apart from many others: The wines are vinified in genuine oak barrels – a process that hardly anyone else undertakes anymore. Riddling and disgorging are done by hand. No shortcuts, no simplifications.
Whether the approachable Special Cuvée or the legendary Vieilles Vignes Françaises from pre-phylloxera vines – there is real attitude in every glass.
