Bolla Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore

Bolla Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore
A classic Ripasso from the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone – strong enough for the autumn table, approachable enough for everyday enjoyment.
Bolla is one of Verona's oldest wineries, founded in Soave in 1883. The winery has played a key role in shaping the Ripasso method over decades: Valpolicella that has already undergone fermentation is macerated a second time on the pomace from the Amarone harvest. This process adds color, structure, and extract to the wine without giving it the heaviness of an Amarone.
In the glass, it displays a rich ruby red. The nose offers dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of clove. On the palate, soft tannins, moderate acidity, and a finish with notes of wild berries and a touch of cocoa. Not a heavyweight, but with considerable substance for a Ripasso of this class.
