Bolla Il Gambero Soave DOC Classico
A classic Soave from the heart of the Classico zone — fragrance-accented, light-footed, and with the characteristic minerality of the volcanic soils around Soave.
Bolla is one of the best-known names in the Veneto and has been growing Garganega on the basaltic steep slopes of the Classico zone for decades. The volcanic soils with their basalt formations are not a marketing term, but the decisive reason for the freshness and the slightly mineral note that distinguishes this wine from simpler Soave bottlings. The grapes are harvested by hand — hardly possible otherwise on steep slopes.
In the glass, it shows bright straw yellow. The nose brings white peach fruit, acacia honey, and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is light-weighted with lively acidity that carries the fruit without appearing intrusive. The finish is short to medium-length, slightly mineral.

The Italian winery Bolla was founded in 1883 by Abele Bolla in northern Italy. His sons soon joined the business, assisting their father. During World War II, Abele Bolla's wines enjoyed considerable renown, which in 1946 enabled exports to America and the establishment of a local presence. The winery is located in the Veneto region and owns several vineyards where various grape varieties are cultivated. These include red varieties such as Merlot, Molinara, Corvina, and Rondella, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon. Bolla's white varieties include Garganega, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. The winery also produces Prosecco.
