Gran Reserva Vina Imas Gold Edition Double Magnum 3.0L

A Gran Reserva from Viña Imas — the heart of the Baron de Ley winery on the Ebro loop in Rioja Alta. And all this in a double magnum: 3 liters that slow down the aging processes and give the wine additional depth.

Baron de Ley was founded in 1985 in the Imas monastery and is now one of the most well-known addresses for classic Rioja style. Viña Imas is the estate's own single vineyard directly around the monastery building — controlled origin, which counts for extra in a Gran Reserva. As a Gran Reserva, the wine spends at least two years in oak barrels and another three years in the bottle before it leaves the cellar.

In the glass, it shows aromas of lingonberry and ripe dark cherries, underscored by leather, tobacco, and a clear hint of vanilla from the barrique aging. The palate is soft and round, the tannins well-integrated, the finish long with a spicy note of clove and cedar.
