Glaetzer Wines –
Barossa Shiraz since 1888, by Ben Glaetzer
Glaetzer Wines embodies what the Barossa Valley does best: Shiraz with depth, structure, and an unmistakable character that stems from the terroir. The winery has been family-owned since 1888 – today, Ben Glaetzer carries on his father Colin's legacy with his own vision of style and quality.
The grapes come from Ebenezer, a small sub-region in the northern Barossa, where old vines reach deep into the soil and produce fruit of exceptional concentration. In the glass, this manifests as juicy plum, dark chocolate, and a finish that combines power and elegance – without becoming heavy.
The range extends from the approachable Wallace, enjoyable even when young, to the Amon-Ra – a Shiraz that is among Australia's most famous and has aging potential. Small winery, clear style.
