Wagner-Stempel Riesling QbA dry

Wagner-Stempel Riesling QbA dry
A Rheinhessen Riesling with a clear signature: mineral, taut, with a depth that is exceptional for an entry-level wine.
Wagner-Stempel is located in Siefersheim in western Rheinhessen – an area that was long underestimated but is now one of Germany's most exciting Riesling regions. Daniel Wagner cultivates the vineyards on porphyry and weathered limestone soils, which give the wine its characteristic spiciness.
On the nose, quince, ripe apple, and a distinct hint of salt – along with a touch of fresh herbs and mint. On the palate, the wine is lean and straightforward: firm acidity, stony minerality, and not a hint of fat. The finish is long and dry, revealing only a subtle extract sweetness in the final moments, adding richness without compromising the freshness.
