Trentenare Fiano

Trentenare Fiano
Fiano from Cilento – that means mineral freshness, Mediterranean warmth, and a variety that has been rooted in Campania since antiquity. The Trentenare from the San Salvatore winery shows why Fiano works so convincingly in this region.
San Salvatore manages its sites in the Cilento National Park south of Paestum according to biodynamic principles – wines that directly reflect the character of their origin. The Trentenare grows on a south-southwest exposure in the Cannito vineyard, named after the village of the same name that overlooks the site. Lots of sun, Mediterranean soils, Atlantic-influenced breeze from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
In the glass, the wine glows in a light straw yellow. On the nose, citrus blossom, white peach, and a hint of almond appear – typical Fiano profile, fresh and precise. Present on the palate, but lean: lively acidity, creamy texture, long finish with a slight bitter almond note in the finish, which gives the wine length.
- Food: Grilled sea bass, pasta with vongole, buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes
