Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT magnum 1.5L

Il Pino di Biserno is the second wine of Tenuta di Biserno — and yet not a second-class wine. The estate is located in the coastal hinterland of Tuscany, in the Bibbona area near Bolgheri, and was founded by the Antinori brothers Lodovico and Piero together with Bordeaux oenologist Michel Rolland. The location on well-ventilated hills with deep soils favors Cabernet Sauvignon with the necessary ripeness without over-ripeness — exactly what distinguishes this wine.

In the glass, it shows a dense, ruby red color. On the nose, an arc of dark plum, blackberry, and freshly ground coffee opens up, underscored by clove and spicy undergrowth. Aging in barrique gives the wine structure and a subtle wood spice without masking the fruit. On the palate, dense but well-integrated tannins, medium to full body, long finish with a slightly mineral note. The magnum bottle slows down the aging process — the wine visibly benefits from the larger bottle volume and feels particularly supple on the palate.

Pairs with grilled beef fillet, leg of lamb with rosemary, or aged Pecorino. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Ideally decant one hour before serving so that the aromatic potential can fully unfold.
