Spiess Riesling dry 1.0l

A dry Palatinate Riesling from the Spiess winery — light-footed, yet with enough substance to also be convincing when paired with food.

The Spiess winery is rooted in the Palatinate, one of the sunniest wine regions in Germany. Limestone and loess soils shape the typical style here: Rieslings with clear fruit, lively acidity and a touch of minerality on the finish.

In the glass, the Spiess Riesling reveals aromas of white peach and lime zest, accompanied by a subtle minerality. The acidity is present but integrated—not sharp, but rather a refreshing touch that leaves the palate clean. Medium body, crisp finish.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Best drunk young — no need for long cellaring.
It pairs perfectly with grilled pike-perch with herb butter, goat cheese salad, or light pasta dishes with citrus sauce. It's also a sure thing as an aperitif with pretzels.

The Spiess winery in Bechtheim is renowned for its consistently high-quality wines. Brothers Burkhard and Jürgen Spiess are passionate about quality. Rigorous yield control, meticulous vineyard management, gentle processing, traditional methods, and state-of-the-art cellar technology result in full-bodied wines that are both pure and easy to drink. This dedication and passion for wine are rewarded year after year with numerous national and international awards. Above all, the Spiess family believes it's essential to bottle the wine exactly as it comes from the vineyard. This means that the foundation is laid in nature itself, requiring consistently excellent work in the estate's vineyard plots.
