Ruffino Rosso di Marte Bolgheri DOC

Bolgheri represents Tuscan coastal power — and the Rosso di Marte shows what distinguishes this DOC: a Bordeaux blend with structure and Mediterranean temperament.

Ruffino is one of the most famous wineries in Tuscany and produces the Rosso di Marte from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc — a classic Bolgheri composition that finds its best form on the iron-rich, loamy-sandy coastal soil of the Maremma.

In the glass, it displays intense berry fruit—blackberry and black cherry—with balsamic hints, a touch of tobacco, and sweet spice notes in the background. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a dense yet silky tannin structure. The finish returns to red fruit and remains pleasantly long with a spicy depth.

Serving suggestion: Best served at 17–18 °C. Pairs well with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, leg of lamb with rosemary, aged Pecorino cheese, or hearty pasta dishes like Ragù alla Bolognese. Ready to drink now, but will also keep for 3–4 years.
