Pinot Noir Zellertal
The Zellertal Pinot Noir grows in selected parcels within the Klosterstück vineyard. The vineyards are situated on a high plateau above Zell at an altitude of almost 300 meters. The soil is characterized by clay and solid limestone bedrock. Thanks to constant wind and loosely packed grapes, we can rely on top-quality, healthy grapes every year. Winemaking: The grapes were harvested after a pre-selection process, yielding 5,000 liters per hectare. After a two-week maceration, the wine was transferred to barriques. It then aged on the lees for 14 months before bottling. Wine: The Pinot Noir shines with a very clear, mineral style. On the nose, one is immediately greeted by subtle aromas of light red cherry with a fine note of oak. The tannins settle on the palate, accompanied by hints of wild herbs and earthy tones. This combination gives it an incredible tension that remains long after the sip.
