In the glass, this Grappa Riserva shines with an amber hue and boasts highly concentrated, multifaceted aromas of spices, caramel, vanilla, and bitter almond. It is produced using discontinuous steam distillation according to the ancient Nonino family tradition, employing exclusive stills modernized by Benito Nonino. The distillation process is very slow, allowing the volatile compounds responsible for the aromas to evaporate and then condense properly. The Nonino Riserva Antica Cuvée is a blend of aged brandies, matured for between 3 and 20 years in Limousin oak barrels and ex-sherry casks. The base is selected fresh pomace from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Schioppettino grapes.
