Nonino Grappa Monovitigno il Moscato

A single-varietal grappa made from fresh Moscato pomace — floral, soft and exceptionally aromatic for its category.

The Nonino family from Percoto in Friuli is considered a pioneer of modern grappa. With their Monovitigno line, introduced in 1973, they were the first to focus on single-varietal distillates instead of blended pomace—a paradigm shift for the entire grappa world. The Moscato pomace is processed immediately after pressing to preserve the grape's volatile aroma precursors. Distilled using a continuous process, the result is a clear Grappa Bianca without barrel aging.

In the glass, the Moscato clearly reveals its origin: jasmine and white peach blossom on the nose, along with apricot and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is soft, almost creamy, with little spice and a floral-fruity finish that lingers longer than one would expect from a Bianco.

Neat at 10–12 °C as a digestif — classically after an espresso or with fresh almonds. Those who previously thought of grappa as harsh will find this a more approachable introduction to the spirit.

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
