Mosel Riesling
The Mosel Riesling from Nik Weis – St. Urbans-Hof is the classic estate wine of the renowned Leiwener top winery – a VDP estate wine that brings the essence of the Mosel to the glass in its purest form. The old vines, 40 to 70 years old, grow on river sediment soils around the winery and are spontaneously fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks to fully preserve freshness and fruitiness.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose unfolds aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, white peach, and herbs , accompanied by a fine, spicy slate minerality. On the palate, it is crystal clear, lively, and juicy, with racy acidity, elegant smoothness, and a long, mineral finish.
With 12.0% alcohol by volume and an ideal serving temperature of 8–10 °C , it is a perfect accompaniment to fish, seafood, veal dishes, vitello tonnato, and light summer cuisine. A Mosel Riesling with character, finesse, and exceptional drinkability.
