Saar Riesling off-dry

Saar Riesling off-dry
Off-dry is not a makeshift solution on the Saar, but a stylistic device: Nik Weis uses the natural acidity of the Saar Rieslings to keep residual sweetness in balance – the result is a wine that is neither dry nor sweet, but lively.
St. Urbans-Hof is one of the most renowned wineries on the Moselle and Saar rivers. Nik Weis, who runs the estate in its third generation, focuses on traditional winemaking methods and the region's characteristic slate soils. Especially along the Saar, the cooler tributary of the Moselle, Rieslings ripen with particularly precise fruit and fine minerality.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of apple, white peach, and a hint of mango. The acidity carries the wine without being sharp, while the subtle residual sweetness makes it approachable without sacrificing depth. The finish is fresh with a mineral aftertaste.
