Librandi Ciro Rosato

Gaglioppo in rosé – this is achieved particularly convincingly in Calabria. The Cirò Rosato from Librandi shows what southern Italy's oldest wine region can achieve with this grape variety: color with depth, aromas with character.

Librandi is the most famous winery in the Cirò DOC on Calabria's Adriatic coast—a region with over 3,000 years of winemaking history, sandy soils, and a climate with very little rainfall. The Librandi family has been working for decades to make the local Gaglioppo grape variety internationally renowned. This Rosato is their most approachable entry point.

In the glass, it shines a vibrant ruby ​​pink. The nose offers fresh wild strawberry, pomegranate, and a spicy undertone with a subtle herbal note. On the palate, intense fruit—again wild strawberry—unfolds against a bed of wild rose blossoms, complemented by a delicate bitter almond note on the finish, which lends the wine tension and length. The acidity is present but not harsh.
