The White Temptation

The White Temptation
“The White Temptation” by Krug is a white wine that gains character through its aging in new wood – spicy, with soft fruit and an invigorating interplay of acidity and residual sweetness.
Krug stands for handcrafted winemaking with a clear stylistic vision. The use of new oak is not an end in itself, but rather gives the wine structure and depth – delicate nutty and spice notes nestle against a vibrant fruit base.
In the glass, this wine reveals soft, ripe fruit – notes of yellow stone fruit and a hint of vanilla – underpinned by subtle spice from the oak aging. The acidity remains present without being harsh, creating a pleasant drinking experience. The finish is medium-long and slightly nutty.
Food pairing: Pairs well with mildly spicy Asian dishes (curry, teriyaki), mature cheeses such as Comté or Gruyère, and light poultry. Best served at 10–12 °C.
