Kahlenberg Riesling

A Riesling with backbone: lean, mineral, with an acid structure that initially seems silky and then increasingly builds pressure – exactly what makes a good 2019 vintage.

The Weingut In den Zehn Morgen vinifies its Kahlenberg Riesling from a single vineyard that gives the wine a clear mineral imprint. The name refers to a historical area measurement – a hint of the grown viticultural tradition in which this wine stands.

In the glass, it shows crisp fruit, spicy notes with a hint of curry, as well as a fine saltiness on the finish that drives the flow of drinking. The texture is silky-elegant, the body lean and present – not a heavyweight, but a wine with energy and playfulness.
