Insoglio del Cinghiale Toscana IGT Magnum

The Insoglio del Cinghiale is the most approachable wine from Tenuta di Biserno — yet anything but simple. A magnum bottle well worth it for a large table.

Behind Tenuta di Biserno is the Antinori family, who cultivate Bordeaux grape varieties in the coastal region of the Maremma region of Tuscany . The estate lies near Bibbona, where heavy soils and Mediterranean warmth provide the foundation for powerful, aromatically intense red wines. The Insoglio is the entry-level wine in the Biserno range—vinified with a clear focus on fruit and drinkability.

In the glass, it displays blueberry, blackberry, and violet , underpinned by a hint of dark cherry. Around 40% of the wine matures for four months in French oak barrels—this imparts a subtle spiciness and structure without masking the fruit. Medium-bodied, with velvety tannins and a linear, fresh finish without excessive heaviness.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Best enjoyed now or between now and 2027. The magnum bottle matures slightly slower than the standard bottle — those who wait will be rewarded with greater complexity.

Tenuta di Biserno – Tuscan Maremma with a view of the sea. Located in Bibbona, the view extends as far as Corsica. Founded in 2001 by Lodovico and Piero Antinori. Ideal climate, cool breezes from the coast, soils of clay and limestone – perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. 70 hectares of vineyards, plus small quantities of olive oil and grappa. Here, Tuscan tradition meets visionary spirit. Maremma, as it tastes.
